Organic Scintillator Library

This page is in development and limited to organic scintillators. The table is currently limited to commercially available materials. Materials in development will be added in the future.

The primary goal of this library is to compile data on organic scintillator response to recoil protons or heavier ions to allow for the modeling of detector response to neutrons and charged particles. The “Quenching Data” column includes links to peer-reviewed articles with measured proton (or heavier ion) light yield data. In some cases, a link to a separate page is provided containing the quenching data along with information about the measurement techniques to facilitate comparison and identify potential biases. The rest of the data in the table are taken from the manufacturers’ websites (Eljen Technology and Luxium Solutions).

If you have or know of an article containing organic scintillator information that has not been included below, please send us a copy of the article (the preferred format is PDF). You are also invited to provide information for the different property columns.

You can download the complete Organic Scintillator Library in csv format below.
